In the insanity of trying to organize my Google Drive, I began a couple weeks ago by cross-posting my stories from Ao3 to FFN that I hadn’t yet moved. In the process, I realized a bunch of my fics didn’t have art so I have been working on that and making new aesthetics too.
Anyway, last night I realized I have nearly 250 stories… That is A LOT! While making new art, I decided that I was going to post some to tumblr… But then had the bright idea to post a single fic a day. Thus xxDustNight’s One Fic a Day Rec Fest was born.
This is a personal fest creation and so I’ve chosen to share one of my own stories each day to try and brighten people’s spirits during this difficult time. Although, I imagine I will throw in a few of my personal favorite recs from friends from time to time just to spice things up a bit and share the love.
Each day around 11am EST a new fic of mine will be shared.
Feel free to do your own version of One Fic a Day Rec Fest whether you share your own stories or just your personal favorites you’ve read. Either way, there will be a bunch of fics being recommended and read for a variety of fandoms. Here’s hoping for an entire year of this! Happy reading!
January 2022 Update
So I fell off on posting one fic a day there for quite a bit, and I’ve added a bunch more stories as well. I’m going to try to keep up with posting One Fic a Day again here for the New Year!
As of January 1st, I have 350+ works to share with all of you! That’s plenty to cover the year and more! Anyway, as before, feel free to join in posting your own works, or just sharing some of your favorites so we can fill tumblr with all of the amazing recs!
Hey there! Thanks for the ask! Typically I will beta anything from 100-10k words in a single sitting (give or take). I haven’t taken on any longer projects in quite some time because I am quite busy myself. I also only beta read for fandoms I am super comfortable with like Harry Potter, Marvel, Sherlock, and crossovers of them. Does this help?
